Kristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive Childhood Education with a minor in English Language and Arts from SUNY Cortland and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Literacy. She is certified in Grades 1–6 and holds a specialization in 7–12 English. Her experience spans preschool through high school, including work with children with disabilities and in general education classrooms.

Kristina brings a strong foundation in differentiated instruction, a deep understanding of literacy development, and a passion for helping students grow with confidence, clarity, and joy in their learning.

With 20 years of experience teaching middle school math—9 in the classroom and 11 online—Alana specializes in making math clear, accessible, and confidence-building for every scholar. 

She also has extensive experience designing and reviewing math content for grades 6–12. 

Her teaching style breaks down complex ideas into manageable steps, encourages a growth mindset, and connects math to the real world in a positive, supportive environment.

Hello, my name is David Tolbert, and I am an English Teacher specializing in Writing and Literature.  I have been teaching in the High School levels since 2007, and have experience that ranges from working with beginning readers and English Language Learners to Advanced Placement students wanting to push their understanding of Literary Criticism to the next level.  

I have earned a Master’s Degree in Education and Leadership from Portland State University. I have also been trained in many different curriculums and strategies, including Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, AVID, Trauma Informed Instruction, and many more.  

I believe that every student has the ability to grow as a learner and I always try to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.  My mission as a teacher has always been to take big, intimidating tasks and break them down into simple concepts that make them more accessible to all kinds of learners.  I also provide a non-judgemental space to ask questions and receive thoughtful and constructive feedback in order to improve students' performance on academic tasks and build confidence.      

When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  The main goals in my life now are to be a supportive husband, father, and teacher.  I love listening to and playing music, traveling, camping, and creative writing in my spare time.

As an instructional designer, college adjunct instructor, and certified cognitive skills assessment and training practitioner who enhances students' academic and athletic performance, my interactive, student-centered teaching style incorporates innovative methods, such as games, to improve memory, focus, and executive functioning skills.

As a doctoral candidate in sports leadership and administration at Concordia University Chicago, with a Master's degree in Instructional Technology from Towson University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Bowie State University, I combine my diverse skills to inspire and empower learners of all ages.

I’m so excited to be here and share what I’ve learned from over 20 years in the criminal justice field. I started as a patrol officer in 2005, later worked in narcotics and violent crime units, and eventually became a Special Agent in Charge with the Georgia Department of Corrections. I’ve led investigations across the state and now train other agents at the Special Agent Academy.

Teaching and mentoring are passions of mine, and I’m thrilled to help students explore the world of criminal justice.

I’m Ava Sochet, a certified early childhood educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2). I’m nearing completion of my Master’s in Literacy and have been a lead teacher in a preschool classroom for the past five years. I’m passionate about creating engaging, inclusive learning spaces where my students feel confident, supported, and excited to grow. I strive to provide joyful and empowering experiences that nurture each child’s development. I’m committed to meeting each student’s unique needs, fostering a strong foundation for their academic and social growth, and creating meaningful moments that leave a lasting positive impact.

Sagona Perryman is an accomplished international educator with over 20 years of experience in the U.S. and the UAE. Her career began with Chicago Public Schools in 1994, progressing through roles such as Literacy Coach and Assistant Principal. She holds two Master’s degrees, a TEFL certification, and a professional license in Educational Leadership.

Sagona has taught abroad, led literacy initiatives, and now serves as a Reading Interventionist in Chicago. She also sits on the boards of two nonprofits supporting youth and is developing a patented educational invention.

I’m Cynthia Marylee Molt, an educator with over 30 years’ experience in teaching, curriculum development, and school leadership. I’ve worked with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, designed lessons in all core subjects, and supported teachers with training and guidance. As a Curriculum Director and School Administrator, I’ve developed K–12 curricula, coordinated school programs, and provided academic counseling. I’m dedicated to serving diverse learners and always strive to meet each child’s needs.

Outside of education, I’m an author of books on civics, film history, and biographies, and I hold advanced degrees in Administration and Curriculum & Instruction. My passion is helping students, teachers, and communities thrive through lifelong learning and a positive school environment.

I’m Zack Logan, an experienced educator specializing in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Theater/Drama, and college and career prep. For the past eight years, I’ve taught middle and high school students in Title-I schools, focusing on helping learners discover their voice, build confidence, and master key skills.

I hold a Master’s in Teaching from Sierra Nevada University, where I developed their Culturally Responsive Pedagogy course. My teaching style centers on connection, curiosity, and clarity, always aiming to make learning meaningful and engaging for every student.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy time with my daughter, writing, and movies that make me laugh. Amanda is an Ohio State University graduate with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in animal science and over 200 hours towards her PhD in Integrated Biomedical Sciences. She has been teaching for over twenty years. In her personal life, Amanda enjoys riding horses, teaching riding lessons, hiking with her dogs, and playing music.  The daughter of a veterinarian and a concert pianist, Amanda has a deeply ingrained passion for animals and all things STEAM.  

Ms. Caroline Lilley graduated with degrees in Agriculture Education and Animal Science with a focus on Equine Sciences. She's taught middle school and high school learners as an FFA and Science Teacher; teaching Animal Sciences, Equine Sciences and Veterinary Assisting courses. She grew up in her fathers veterinary clinic, and now lives on a hobby farm in coastal North Carolina with an abundance of farm animals. She is very passionate about animals and all things horses. She teaches riding lessons specializing in western pleasure and hunter under saddle with the quarter horse and appaloosa horse breeds. Caroline is extremely excited to share her passion and knowledge with learners!
