I’m so excited to be here and share what I’ve learned from over 20 years in the criminal justice field. I started as a patrol officer in 2005, later worked in narcotics and violent crime units, and eventually became a Special Agent in Charge with the Georgia Department of Corrections. I’ve led investigations across the state and now train other agents at the Special Agent Academy.

Teaching and mentoring are passions of mine, and I’m thrilled to help students explore the world of criminal justice.

Amanda is an Ohio State University graduate with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in animal science and over 200 hours towards her PhD in Integrated Biomedical Sciences. She has been teaching for over twenty years. In her personal life, Amanda enjoys ridinghorses, teaching riding lessons, hiking with her dogs, and playing music.  The daughter of a veterinarian and a concert pianist, Amandahas a deeply ingrained passion for animals and all things STEAM.

Christen has been described as a passionate educator by both colleagues and peers. Certified in both general and special education, Christen brings over 15 years of education at the middle, high school and university levels. While History and Social Studies are a particular area of interest, Christen has experience in specialized reading and math instruction as well. Christen’s instructional practices include the use of the Socratic method and structured discussion to spark curiosity and actively engage learners in the learning process. In our classroom, students think critically, articulate their reasoning, and respectfully consider multiple perspectives. Learning is both engaging and designed to support the development of academic skills while also fostering confidence. 

My name is Brandy Lee, and I am thrilled to be working with your child this year! I have 13 years of experience in education and hold a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8 and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership with a specialization in Reading. My goal is to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to learn and grow.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, hiking, and riding my horse. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year and partnering with you to support your child!

Chris Maiurro is a licensed teacher (NJ and OR), educator, artist, illustrator, and creative professional with decades of experience. He has a passion for inspiring others through visual expression and learning.

As an art teacher, Chris combines artistic skill with a dedication to helping students explore creativity, develop confidence, and discover their unique voice. In addition to art education, he has the ability to teach and connect across many subjects, bringing creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm into every learning environment.

His work reflects a strong appreciation for imagination, storytelling, and the power of education to connect people and ideas. Through both teaching and creating, Chris continues to encourage curiosity, innovation, and lifelong growth.

Bonjour! My name is Ms. Powers and I’m a French Language and Culture teacher. I fell in love with French when I was just a freshman in high school and continued to study French for 8 years and ended up living abroad in French Polynesia after college. I love to travel and speak French all over the world. I also love to do anything outside, whether it be hiking in the mountains or sailing in the ocean. I absolutely love sharing the beauty of the French language and culture with my students and look forward to an awesome year!

With 33 combined years of experience teaching elementary and special education, overseas English learners, and highly gifted, twice exceptional students, my journey in education has been marked by a commitment to nurturing each student's potential through innovative and differentiated instruction.

I am particularly drawn to the mission of fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.  My approach to education blends creativity with a strong foundation in classroom management and engagement strategies, ensuring that diverse learners feel valued and inspired.  I believe in developing lesson plans that not only meet curriculum standards but also captivate student interest, fostering a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.

I am Cynthia Marylee Molt, a passionate educator with over 30 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and school leadership. I have worked with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, designing engaging lessons in subjects like language arts, social studies, science, and math. I’ve also supported teachers by providing training and guidance to help improve classroom practices and create a positive learning environment. During challenging times, I’ve managed off-site learning pods to ensure students continue their education seamlessly.  

In my leadership roles, I’ve served as a Curriculum Director and School Administrator, where I developed comprehensive curricula for K-12 students, coordinated school programs, and supported staff professional development. I also worked as an academic counselor, helping students plan their educational journeys and reach their goals. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to serving diverse learners, including gifted students and those needing extra support, always striving to meet each child’s unique needs.  

Beyond my work in education, I am an author of books on civics, film history, and biographies. I hold several advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Administration and Curriculum and Instruction.. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and continually seek new knowledge through courses on global politics and international and issues.  

My goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, teachers, and communities by fostering a nurturing, inspiring, and effective educational environment.

I’m a passionate teacher from Oklahoma. I graduated in 2022 from University of Arkansas-Fort Smith go Lions. I have spent the last three years teaching a variety of subjects at a small rural school here in Oklahoma. I recently got married to my wonderful husband and we have a giant Doberman-Great Dane named Cerberus. I am a voracious reader, a published poet, and I love to embroider. I am incredibly passionate about all subjects that fall under the umbrellas of ELA & history as well as electives such as theatre and music. 

I have over two decades of experience teaching American Sign Language (ASL) lessons to learners of all ages. I have been very successful in teaching students to learn and acquire good expressive and receptive sign skills.

I am very passionate about the success of my students. I use strategies that make learning ASL fun and very interesting. I keep my students very involved and engaged in my lessons. New sign vocabulary and sign structures I teach are immediately modeled and put into practice, which enhances students' retention. I pace my lessons to ensure the learning styles of the students are very well accommodated. I use approaches that foster deeper level of thinking and understanding of the use of signing in various contexts.

I treat all my students with due regard, acceptance, and caring support. Their success in acquiring good sign language skills is very important to me. I provide one-on-one support to achieve that goal when required.

An instructor with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with horses, she specializes in equine science, introductory veterinary concepts, and art. Her background includes training in hunter/jumper and liberty work, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art.

She focuses on creating engaging, beginner-friendly lessons that build confidence and curiosity, combining real-world knowledge with creative learning. She works primarily with children and teens, using a supportive and interactive teaching style tailored to different learning needs.

     I started piano in 2nd grade, which gave me a great musical foundation. When I started learning the violin in school at 10 years old, I fell in love. Throughout high school and college, I took private lessons and played in orchestra, honors ensembles, and string quartets. In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2016, I graduated with my Master of Music degree in Music Education, also from UNCG. 

     From 2012-2018, I taught elementary and middle school orchestra in the Public Schools of Robeson County in North Carolina. I was also the strings department chair, where my main duties were planning and running all-county orchestra auditions and clinics, as well as training other orchestra teachers. I had students participate in performance festivals and regional honors orchestras. From 2018-2022, I taught elementary school general music in Commerce City, Colorado, where we focused on music theory, history, rhythms, keyboard and percussion instruments, and singing. Throughout my career, I have taught private in-person lessons to students of all ages. In 2023, I chose to focus only on online private lessons. I have been teaching mostly online for the last three years. My current students range in age from 5 to 72. In August 2025, I began teaching elementary school orchestra again to grades 4-6. 

     Since 2004, I’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, art shows, business events, birthday parties, and church services as a soloist and chamber group member. I also served as the principal 2nd violinist in the Aurora Symphony for several years.
